EzySale ("we", "our", or "the app") helps Shopify merchants run bulk discounts, schedule sales, manage variants and inventory, and optimize product SEO. This policy explains what information we access, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to make the app work, and we never sell your data.
01 Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to Shopify store owners and staff who install and use EzySale. When you install the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
EzySale works with your store's data on your behalf. We do not interact with your customers directly, and we do not control how Shopify itself handles data — Shopify's own privacy terms apply to your store separately.
02 Information we access
To provide its features, EzySale requests permission to read and write specific parts of your Shopify store. We access:
- Product data — titles, descriptions, variants, options, tags, metafields, images, and pricing, so we can apply bulk edits, discounts, and SEO changes.
- Inventory data — stock levels and inventory tracking settings, so we can manage sale quantities.
- Collection data — to apply collection-level discounts and reorder products.
- Order data — read-only access to recent order activity, used to detect slow sellers for revenue intelligence. We do not store customer details from orders.
- Store profile — your store name, domain, plan, and contact email, used for account setup and support.
03 How we use your information
We use the data we access only to operate the features you choose to use. Specifically:
- To apply bulk discounts, scheduled sales, and price changes you configure.
- To edit product content, variants, inventory, and SEO fields on your instruction.
- To run automation rules you create, such as discounting slow sellers.
- To generate AI-powered content suggestions when you use AI features.
- To display analytics and store health information inside the app.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
We never use your data for advertising, and we never sell or rent it to third parties.
04 AI features and third-party processing
When you use EzySale's AI features (such as AI SEO optimization or AI alt text generation), the relevant product content — for example a product title or description — is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a suggestion. This data is used only to produce the requested output and is not used to train third-party models.
AI features are optional. They only run when you click an AI action, and you can review every suggestion before applying it. You may configure your own API key in the app's settings; that key is stored securely and used only to make requests on your behalf.
05 Data storage and security
We store the minimum data needed to run the app — such as your store identifier, your settings, automation rules, and a log of recent bulk actions so you can undo changes. This information is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
We do not store your product catalogue permanently. Product and inventory data is read from Shopify when you use a feature and written back when you apply a change.
Access to stored data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate or support the app.
06 Data retention and deletion
We retain your settings, automation rules, and action history for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall EzySale:
- We stop accessing your store immediately.
- Your stored settings and history are deleted within 30 days.
- You can request immediate deletion by contacting us.
Shopify also sends us mandatory data-erasure requests on behalf of merchants and customers, which we honour in line with Shopify's requirements.
07 Your rights
Depending on where your business is located, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the data we hold about your store. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
You can also revoke EzySale's access at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin.
08 Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time as the app evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app. Continued use of EzySale after an update means you accept the revised policy.
